Halloween Haunts!

October 31st, 2010

Happy Halloween Everybody!
This being my first Halloween, I sure did LOTS of fun stuff to celebrate! We even started the celebrations a week before the actual day. Mom and Dad took me to an event in Maple Grove last weekend where I got to debut my cute costume!
Stirring and stirring my brew, whooooooo!
We went to the Maple Grove Halloween celebration with my boyfriend, Brady, and his parents. I guess you could call this our first date! hehehe He was quite the gentleman!
And then this past weekend was filled with Halloween fun! On Friday night, my Grammie Flanagan came over to see me all dressed up.
She thought I looked adorable!
And then on Saturday, I went to the MN Zoo for their Hall-ZOO-een event with my friend Kendall!
What big girls we are!
We saw lots of neat animals ... I even showed Daddy the silly monkeys!
We sure had fun at the zoo ... and I was such a good girl all day! I was pretty tuckered out though by the end of the day.
And then came the actual day of Halloween. In the spirit of Halloween, we started the day with all orange food.
Then, I went to the cemetery with Mommy, Nana, Papa, and Great-Grandpa.
Today is the 2 year anniversary of my Great-Grandma Adele's passing.
Even though it is a sad day for my family, I made it kind of fun ... I went to show Great-Grandma my cute costume. I'm sure she thought I looked fabulous! Or in Great-Grandma's words, I was "Whistle Bait!" hahaha
I even showed Great-Grandma Adele how I can crawl now!
And then, the Halloween festivities began! I dressed up as a ballerina until it was time to put my piggy/lamb costume back on.
And my Nana, Papa, Uncle Phil, and Aunt Chelsey came over. We made home-made pizzas for dinner and I helped!
And look at the silly pumpkin cake my Mommy made for dessert. She was pretty proud of her cake decorating!
Then I played with my family until it was time to go trick-or-treating!
Phil and Chelsey even read me a spooky story to get me in the mood for All Hallow's Eve!
And then the time finally arrived for costumes and candy!
Aunt Chelsey and all the neighbors thought I was the cutest pink pig/lamb they'd ever seen!
After trick-or-treating at a few houses, I came home with the loot! I decided I'd share some!
Yum, Yum, Yum!
Happy Halloween!

Carving Pumpkins!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

We sure got into the Halloween spirit at my house tonight! We carved my pumpkin and it was so fun!

Here's the perfect carving pumpkin I picked out at the store with Mom.

Mommy's 2 "Lil Pumpkins!"
I helped Daddy clean out the pumpkin guts. It was really gooey!
But I didn't mind it too much ... it was kind of neat!
I've never had pumpkin before, so I thought I'd give it a try!
Mommy drew the face on the pumpkin. I told her I wanted a happy face!
And then, after Mom drew the smiley face, Dad carved it out and I helped!
And here's the finished product ... a Jack-O-Lantern!

I can't wait for Halloween!

And on a TOTALLY different note, here are 2 "bonus" pictures. One is of me with a little sprout of a pony-tail and the other one is just a cute outfit!

MN Zoo

As promised, here are some pictures of my first trip to the MN Zoo (from last week)! It was awesome! We're going back with my friend, Kendall, next Saturday for a Hall-ZOO-een event! Yay!

Here we are on the "Tropics Trail!" It was so neat! They had all sorts of animals from around the world that live in tropical areas.
Here we are watching the monkeys! They were so funny!
One monkey was really loud ... he was yelling and making lots of noise while we watched him.

This was my favorite monkey. He swang from tree to tree with his long arms. He was so cute!
Another one of my favorite exhibits was the bears. They were really big! And, it was really cool to watch them swim.
Something else that was super fun for me was the zoo-themed playground! I rode a walleye (especially for my Uncle Phil ... he loves to fish and catch walleye at the cabin).
And I sat in a birds' nest. The bird eggs were as big as me ... how silly!
Can't wait for next weekend to go back and show Kendall all the cool stuff at the MN Zoo!
