Our darling daughter, Faith, this is the day you changed our lives ... this is the day we had been waiting for! This is the day you blessed us and made all of our dreams come true! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
You came into this world at 1:00 am on Friday, December 18th, 2009. Mom started laboring late Wednesday night (the 16th) and things picked up all through the next day (Thursday, the 17th). Mom and Dad checked into the hospital around 5:30 Thursday evening. As you can see from the picture below, Mom was ready to do this! She may have been in some pain but she was ready to meet you!
You were such a good girl for Mommy. You did everything you were supposed to do. Thus, we had a wonderful labor and delivery (if labor can be wonderful)! And then, you graced us with your presence at 1:00 am, Friday morning and you were perfect! You had hair (as Mommy had hoped for) and the longest eyelashes in the world! You were beautiful! You weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and were 19 1/2 inches long.
Faith, when the nurse placed you in my arms I experienced a love so deep, so profound, and so unconditional.
You, my daughter, are what I had been praying for. And God answered my prayers! He has blessed us with the most precious gift. While I was waiting for you, one of my favorite Bible verses was Hebrews 11:1 - "Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen." My darling, you are everything I hoped for and truly are the evidence of God's goodness. We love you beyond measure.
